You put ‘The Infatuation’ on my most visited sites so it appears on the screen. How do I take it off? My client saw it and asked me what it was thinking it was not a “nice” site.

Dear Elyse,

HAHAHA. OMGGGGG… Ok in MOST browsers (like Google Chrome, Safari & Firefox — none of which you use), you can right click on the name (‘The Infatuation‘) in the bar (it’s called the ‘bookmarks bar’) and select ‘delete’.

Screen Shot 2019-01-03 at 9.40.27 PMIn the old browsers you use (Internet Explorer) it should be the same thing.

Also, I still don’t think you get this but ‘The Infatuation’ website is a site that allows you to filter through restaurants that are close to the location you’re currently at or will be at.

Hope this helps!

I was taking a picture with my iPhone 7 & pressed something – now it counts to 10 before taking the picture. How do I change this back?

Dear Elyse,

You’re crazy. To set a timer on the iPhone 7 camera follow the steps below.

  1. Launch the Camera app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap on the timer button (it looks like a clock).
  3. Choose either ‘3 seconds’ or ’10 seconds’.
  4. Tap the camera shutter when you’re ready for the countdown to start.

To get rid of the timer, just close your camera app and open it back up… are your ears exploding again?? I’m SHOCKED you’re taking pictures. Maybe it’s time to add names to your contacts. HAHAHA.

How does a blog differ from a website?

Dear Elyse,

Another great question. This is a blog. Blogs are a type of website. The only real difference between a blog and other types of website is that blogs are regularly updated with new content displayed in a reversed chronological order (newer posts first). So a blog is dynamic, and it is usually updated more frequently than a website.

Blogging has recently turned into a hot profession. Lots of bloggers are leaving their jobs to do blogs full time because they’ve found they can make more money and manage their own schedule. There’s a book called ‘The Essential Habits of Six Figure Bloggers‘ that outlines the secrets of 17 successful bloggers who make six-figure salaries.

What are cookies – and the different types?

Dear Elyse,

Sometimes websites will use ‘cookies’. This is just a cute way to say a website is holding a modest amount of data specific to a particular client and/or website. Cookies can be accessed either by the web server or the client computer. Broken down they are small files which are stored on a user’s computer.

Check out this video for an example seen on Eli Lilly’s Taltz website.
