You put ‘The Infatuation’ on my most visited sites so it appears on the screen. How do I take it off? My client saw it and asked me what it was thinking it was not a “nice” site.

Dear Elyse,

HAHAHA. OMGGGGG… Ok in MOST browsers (like Google Chrome, Safari & Firefox — none of which you use), you can right click on the name (‘The Infatuation‘) in the bar (it’s called the ‘bookmarks bar’) and select ‘delete’.

Screen Shot 2019-01-03 at 9.40.27 PMIn the old browsers you use (Internet Explorer) it should be the same thing.

Also, I still don’t think you get this but ‘The Infatuation’ website is a site that allows you to filter through restaurants that are close to the location you’re currently at or will be at.

Hope this helps!

I was taking a picture with my iPhone 7 & pressed something – now it counts to 10 before taking the picture. How do I change this back?

Dear Elyse,

You’re crazy. To set a timer on the iPhone 7 camera follow the steps below.

  1. Launch the Camera app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap on the timer button (it looks like a clock).
  3. Choose either ‘3 seconds’ or ’10 seconds’.
  4. Tap the camera shutter when you’re ready for the countdown to start.

To get rid of the timer, just close your camera app and open it back up… are your ears exploding again?? I’m SHOCKED you’re taking pictures. Maybe it’s time to add names to your contacts. HAHAHA.

Is there a book that is VERY simple to do certain functions on the phone? Someone tried to show me and I think I developed hypertension

Dear Elyse,

Hahaha. The best advice I have for you is to start at the very most basic level of learning about your iPhone 4 (HAHA).

Hmm for you…. I recommend the book “iPhone Manual for Beginners – The Perfect iPhone Guide for Seniors, Beginners, & First-time iPhone Users“. It’s a great source for MOST Seniors, Beginners & First-Time iPhone users but I can’t really see you reading this without scaring yourself.

What does the starred item on email bar mean?

Dear Elyse,

IF you’re using Gmail, the below should look familiar. The star on the email bar is just a way to favorite a message and store for later.

You can see all the emails you have ‘starred’ by clicking the ‘starred’ label. The ‘starred’ label exists under your Gmail Inbox here:

When you click the ‘Starred’ label it filters out all of your starred messages and you can see them in a list like this:
